Privacy Policy

This is the privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) that governs how we, Stands Ltd. (“Stands”, “we”, “our” or “us”), use Personal Information (defined below) that we collect, receive and store about individuals in connection with the use of Stands’ web browser extensions, applications or add-ons (the “App”). By using the App, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy and to our collection, processing and sharing of Personal Information for the purposes set forth herein.  If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not access or otherwise use the App. 

1. Introduction. We have implemented this Privacy Policy because your privacy, and the privacy of other users, is important to us.  This Privacy Policy explains our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your Personal Information is collected and used in connection with the App.  “Personal Information” means any information that may be used, either alone or in combination with other information, to personally identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a first and last name, a personal profile, an email address, a home or other physical address, or other contact information.

2.Terms of Use. This Privacy Policy forms part of our End User License Agreement (“EULA”) which can be viewed from within the App or on our website at https://standsapp.org/end-user-license-agreement/.  Any capitalized but undefined term in this Privacy Policy shall have the meaning given to in the EULA.

3.Modification.  We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change this Privacy Policy at any time.  Such change will be effective ten (10) days following posting of the revised Privacy Policy on the App, and your continued use of the App thereafter means that you accept those changes.

4.What Personal Information We Collect and How We Collect It.  We receive and/or collect Personal Information from you in the following ways:

4.1.Account.  In order to provide you with certain services that we offer via the App, you may be required to create an account (“Account”). You may enter your name and a valid e-mail address. We may send an e-mail to the address you designate to confirm the validity of the e-mail address.

4.2.‘Contact Us’ Information.  If you send us feedback or a “Contact Us” request, whether by submitting a form that we make available on the App or by sending an email to an email address that we display on the App, you may be required to provide us with certain information such as your name and email address.

4.3.Share with Friends. The App may enable you to share a link to the App on or through a third-party website or service such as Facebook (“Third Party Account”).  The URL that you share with your friend through your Third Party Account will include a referral code. If the App is downloaded through the link you sent, we will be notified that you referred the new App user. This information will only be used to provide you with data on your usage of the App and to enable us to anonymously track referrals of the App. To use this feature you will be required to log in to your Third Party Account. We do not collect your Third Party Account information. Your use of your Third Party Account in connection with this feature is governed by the privacy policies of the applicable service provider for your Third Party Account.

4.4.Log Files.  We may make use of log files. The information inside the log files includes information on the type of browser and operating system being used, the version of the App installed, the advertisements that have been displayed (the fact that an ad has been displayed, its size, the website on which the ad was displayed, the time the ad was displayed, who delivered the ad) and information about performance of our services for a specific user (amount of: ads blocked, tracking codes blocked, popups blocked, and malware codes blocked. We may also collect anonymous information about the websites visited by our users in order to improve our services (ensure ad blocking, privacy, and anti-malware protection are all working properly, by sending addresses of “suspicious” websites to our servers, including the timestamp of the event, the country it originated from, our extension version sending the event, and browser type). The said anonymous information about the websites visited is not linked to a specific user. We may use the information to analyze trends, administer the App, track use of App features, and as described below in Section 5.

4.5.Analytics Tools.  The App may use analytical tool such as “Google Analytics” (“Analytics Tools”). These Analytics Tools collect information, such as how often users use the App and what App features they use. We use the information we get from these Analytics Tools to maintain and improve the App and our products. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Analytics Tools with personally identifiable information. Analytics Tools typically utilize “cookies”, small text files that may serve to recall Personal Information, such as an IP address, previously indicated by a user.

Most browsers allow you to control cookies, including whether or not to accept and/or remove them.  You may set most browsers to notify you if you receive a cookie, or you may choose to block cookies with your browser. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Service, available at https://play.google.com/intl/en/about/play-terms/index.html, and the Google Privacy Policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.  You may learn more about how Google collects and processes data specifically in connection with Google Analytics. You may prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics by downloading and installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

4.6.We use external service provider tools to receive donations and analyze fraudulent behavior in connection with donations. This service is provided by Stripe, Inc., 510 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. Some cookies are saved to your browser before proceeding with payment transactions in order to prevent fraudulent use of their services. Stripe collects identifying information about the devices that connect to its services and uses this information for fraud detection. For more information, please consult Stripe’s cookie policy.

5.The Way We Use Personal Information.  If you submit or we collect Personal Information through the App, then such Personal Information may be used by us in the following ways:

5.1.We will use your Personal Information to provide and improve the App, to contact you in connection with the App and certain programs that you may have registered for, and to identify and authenticate your access to the parts of the App that you are authorized to access. 

5.2.We may use your designated email address to: (i) send you updates or news regarding the App and our products; and/or (ii) respond to a “Contact Us” or administrative request or feedback message.

5.3.We use information contained in Log Files (as described in Section 4.4 above) to pay, or forward payment to, third parties, such as website owners and/or operators, for advertisements displayed to you in connection with their website

5.4.The App further may store on your device, and enable you to view, information on the number of advertisements that have been displayed on your browser through the App, and the number of users who have downloaded the App through a link you shared through our Share with Friends feature.

5.5.We may store your Personal Information with our third-party service providers and partners (such as Amazon Web Services), but only to assist us with our business operations and to provide the App.  Such information may be transferred to other countries.  We use commercially reasonable efforts to only engage or interact with third-party service providers and partners that post a privacy policy governing their processing of Personal Information.   

5.6.We may disclose your Personal Information or any information you submitted via the App if we have a good faith belief that disclosure of such information is helpful or reasonably necessary to: (i) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; (ii) enforce our EULA, including investigations of potential violations thereof; (iii) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud or security issues; or (iv) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of Stands, our users, yourself or the public.

5.7.The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6.Use of Anonymous Information.  We may collect and use Anonymous Information (as defined below) or disclose it to third-party service providers in order to improve our App and enhance your experience with the App.  We may also disclose Anonymous Information (with or without compensation) to third parties, including advertisers and partners.  “Anonymous Information” means information which cannot enable identification of an individual user, such as aggregated information about the use of our App, including the types of advertisements that users engage with. If at any point in the future anonymous data will be paired with Personal Information, the paired data will be treated as Personal Information for as long as it remains paired.

6.1.Aggregate and/or De-identified Data. In an ongoing effort to better understand our Website and users of the Website, we might analyze your information in aggregate and/or de-identified form to operate, maintain, manage, and improve the Website. This aggregate and/or de-identified information does not identify you personally. We may share this aggregate and/or de-identified data with our service providers, affiliates, agents, business partners and other third parties. We may also disclose aggregated and/or de-identified user statistics to current and prospective business partners and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

7.Opting Out.  You may choose not to receive future promotional, advertising, or other App-related emails from us by selecting an unsubscribe link at the bottom of such emails that you receive from us.  Please note that even if you opt-out of receiving the foregoing emails, there are still some instances in which we may communicate with you by e-mail, such as responding to a “Contact Us” request or sending you administrative emails that are necessary to facilitate your use of the App.

8.Choice.  At all times, you may choose whether or not to provide or disclose Personal Information. If you choose not to provide certain Personal Information, or to disable the collection of certain information by the App, you may be unable to access certain features of the App.

9.Access/Accuracy. To the extent that you do provide us with Personal Information, we wish to maintain accurate Personal Information.  If you would like to delete or correct any of your Personal Information that we may be storing, you may submit an access request by sending an email to contact@standsapp.org.  Your email should include adequate details of your request.

10.Links to and Interaction with Third Party Products. The App may enable you to interact with or contain links to third-party websites, products and services that are not owned or controlled by us (each a “Third Party Provider”).  While the App contains certain features to protect you from collection of data about you by Third Party Providers, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these Third Party Providers and the Third Party Provider may collect Personal Information from you.  Accordingly, we encourage you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policy of each Third Party Provider that you choose to use or interact with.

11.Children’s Privacy. The App is not structured to attract children under the age of 13 years.  Accordingly, we do not intend to collect Personal Information from anyone we know to be under 13 years.  If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from a child under 13 years, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. 12.Security. The security of Personal Information is important to us.  We follow generally accepted industry standards, including the use of appropriate administrative, physical and technical safeguards, to protect the Personal Information submitted to us.  However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security or confidentiality. 13.Merger, Sale or Bankruptcy. In the event that we are acquired by or merged with a third party entity, or in the event of bankruptcy or a comparable event, we reserve the right to transfer or assign Personal Information in connection with the foregoing events. 

14.California Privacy Rights. California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits our customers who are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.  To make such a request, please send an email to contact@standsapp.org. Please note that we are only required to respond to one request per customer each year.

15.Our California Do Not Track Notice. We do not currently respond or take any action with respect to web browser “do not track” signals or other mechanisms that provide consumers the ability to exercise choice regarding the collection of personally identifiable information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across third-party web sites or online services. We may allow third parties, such as companies that provide us with analytics tools, to collect personally identifiable information about an individual consumer’s online activities over time and across different web sites when a consumer uses the App.

16.Commitment.
